its nice to nw the recession in this country is over. Once America becomes active again in the global arena, all countries would follow suit. For progress to take place, America is the yardstick. The slow down has had its worst effect the world over. Millions of people lost jobs and there was decline in demand for goods and services. Now that the economy of USA is back to rails, everything should improve in America and the positive impact will definitely be felt by all countries.

I use Disqus on my blog and they actually introduced a sync between themselves and blogger, so if you ever quit Disqus, you wouldn't lose your comments.

good points. i tried disqus on a couple of sites myself but found it unwieldy. it's the latest "thing" so everyone's jump onboard. but because i do a lot of maintenance on my sites daily, i notice more and more often that when disqus goes down for whatever reason, it basically kills your site's loading ability, because the plugin is always trying to call the main server and can't connect, so it just keeps trying before finally timing out. this happened so often i gave up on it.

I feel like most of those reasons are not very good ones and mostly just fear of change/conspiracy driven. Any company could go under at any time and everyone is trying to make a buck in today's world.

Innovating may require migrating back and forth. Its life.

If you are switching from a native commenting system like blogger it is worth the leap and now you can import your comments more effectively. The old comments issue is something I feel will be rectified in the near future.
