You might want to also add that you can save a lot of time by having someone else help sort through all the crap (especially for busy feeds like Digg or Gizmodo). I use a service called <a href="http://aiderss.com" rel="nofollow">AideRSS</a> (created by a fellow 9rules member, Ilya Grigorik) for a number of feeds and it definitely saves me a lot of time.
