Boxxet goes public and raises $900,000

I was emailed by You Mon Tsang to tell me Boxxet, pronounced Box Set, has gone public today and has received some funding.

It has had quite a bit of a redesign since we first reviewed last March, however the principle remains the same. Boxxet puts blogs, images, links, books, forums regarding one specific subject (such as a sports team or Web 2.0) in one place/box. For more information I suggest you turn back to our original review.

Boxxet has been developed since July 2005. I have to admit I have forgotten to keep using it since I first reviewed them in March. To be honest, there is no valid reason for this besides my laziness :P .

The site has raised $900,000 in venture capitalist funding from Ascend Venture Group and currently has 2 employees.

If you haven’t already checked out Boxxet; now would be a good point to do so!
