ReviewMe: Get Paid to Review

Disclosure: Webby’s World is getting paid to write this review. We will try not to let this alter our opinion

ReviewMe is a website, recently launched by the highly successful Text Link Ads, which pays bloggers to write reviews (on their own blogs). The site differs from PayPerPost because it avoids many of the ethical problems by requiring bloggers to disclose they are getting paid to blog and also they do not require positive reviews. Of course, another advantage apart from the money is that it’s a way to get material to write up on.

The price you get paid to write a review varies. For example, on this blog advertisers would pay $100 for a review. Much like TLA, ReviewMe take a 50% cut of this. The minimum you will get paid for writing a reviewing is $20 and the maximum is $200. However, sites must be accepted (or pre-approved by a TLA approval) into ReviewMe in order to prevent new bloggers or sploggers cashing in on this site.

Once you are accepted, advertisers will ask if you’d like to review their site. The blogger then gets to choose whether to accept the review or not. If he chooses to accept it, the blogger will have 48 hours to write a minimum of 200 words. It is worth noting that ReviewMe will pay for reviews on their own site until they spend $25,000 .

Advertiser’s offers are displayed on the website and are emailed to you, however, you can sign up for them in a RSS feed too.

The site also has a colourful design. It does not look as professional as TLA’s due to the light colours, although it does look more welcoming to bloggers (although I’m not so sure it would attract advertisers).

  1. So you got $50 to write this review? NICE WORK! It actually looks like a pretty cool product … much better than PayPerPost.

  7. I’ve had no issues in giving up my SSN to these places. They will need it so you can claim your “blogging income” to the IRS.
