Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP was released as a final yesterday, following five betas and one release candidate. Its been over a year since Beta 1 was released, and while this seems quite a long time from beta to final, I hope it means the program is more stable (but we all know that’s unlikely…).
IE7 has major improvements on IE6, and a new name (Windows Internet Explorer over Microsoft Internet Explorer). IE7 has better CSS support, tabbed browsing, better security and a customizable search box. Still, in my opinion Firefox is by far superior.
Talking of Firefox, RC3 of Firefox 2.0 is out.
It’ll be interesting comparing this months stats to next, seeing the uptake of IE7.

Slooooooooow but bareable aesthetics. Firefox for life baby.
… says the until recent Opera fan.
IE sucks. IE7 is no different.
I spent this morning upgrading both Firefox and IE (well ok not all morning because they both upgraded in a matter of minutes – well actually IE took longer ) I have both installed because I like to know what all my sites will look like in both but I have to say Firefox is the one I use the most. I’ll have a play around on IE but I doubt it will become my favorite!
yes, IE still sucks, it can’t display my blog properly. I had to put the get firefox thing on top of my page to tell ppl to use FF.
Well this is a old story with the IE7 and Firefox is the best sollution, still IE7 upports CSS.
