Ever since Geobloggers changed direction, less people (I included) geotag their Flickr photos.
Geotagging is a wonderful idea where you specify decimal longitude and latitude in a photo’s tags, and you can view have photos with a certain tag (or uploader) and a geotag parsed onto a map like this one. Manually finding geographical co-ordinates and converting them into tags is a chore, and while there are many pieces of software and many scripts which’ll do it, none will beat the simplicity of Localize.
When you click the bookmarlet, a Google Map pops up which allows you to navigate to (or search for) the location where the photo was taken, and then allows you to select it. You then simply press Save, and you enter the text you want to the link to the map and then it’ll save the tags.
This whole thing is done through a wonderful use of the Google Maps’ API and a nice and impressive application of Ajax. It appears not to use any page refreshes!
Sadly, the tool only works for Flickr – but Zooomr does have geotagging integrated

There’s also a good greasemonkey script for doing this at http://webdev.yuan.cc (which is the script I use). Zooomr’s integration is the way it should be done really, but you can also use wwmx to do a similar thing on the local image on your hard disk.
