Sponitting? Well, theres his site called sponit and it’s well, how to describe it… I’ll see if I can in this post.

sponit comes from the word spontaneous or ‘random’.

At sponit, you’ll be able to post pictures and stories into what we like to call “spons”; spons are like snapshots of life.

You don’t need to provide photos, and the stories can be about anything. Mine are just tech tips. The most interesting thing about the site is how these stories are displayed randomly(ish). This really teaches you new things. Now when I said ish, I meant, that spons get rated, and the higher rated ones are displayed more. It’s a bit like blogging, but isn’t, as it isn’t chronological, but random.

The site is very easy to use, with a clean interface, and only a few bugs (it’s in a public beta). The content can be good, but it is also full of cat and dog photos (boring…). I would like to see the ability to categorise spons, and only view spons in certain categories.

So far, I’ve sumbitted 2 spons: Hacking Google Print and The Torrent Jabberwalker. Both of these are high rated, and have received more than a 1000 hits between them. You can comment on spons. My profile is here.

At the moment, the site is very new, just leaving a private beta this week, and it hasn’t yet been abused. However, as this catches on, it’ll only be a matter of time.
