Ah, That Old Game

Software — Joe Anderson @ 8:38 pm Wednesday 30 November 2005

I played a game many years ago (many meaning somewhere around 2001) which was quite good, as what you did in it was to destroy your screen.

You have the option to use various tools to do this: a hammer, flame thrower, termites, phaser, machine gun, chainsaw, color splatter or a stamp!

This is perfect for defacing a logo or photo.

The game was written in an IDE called, made by a company called , which is aimed at children, still the game is amazing. Best of all it doesn’t require installing and fits on a floppy.

The only downside is that it runs at what would appear to be 256 colours.

I’ve created a nice demo of this with Bill Gates in, it’s below.

Anyway, the software is called Desktop Games and it is written by Miroslav Nemecek, but it is commonly called Anti-Stress. The game seems to be poorly mirrored though, so I’ve decided to host it. I can’t find a homepage for it though, so I’m afraid I can’t provide credit that way. Still, the game is freeware and I haven’t modified it so I don’t see a problem. Though he seems to have a lot of his programs here.

  1. I offer that game in my downloads directory at my site. It’s funny to see more of his stuff now, I’ve had it for years.
