Despite my best arguements Intellectual Property Theft is wrong. It is theft, but not as bad as mugging a granny in the middle of the street.
But I thought to myself, is it wrong for me to download a BBC TV show? In my view, no. I paid for the show by paying my license fee (a tax we have to pay in the UK if we have a TV or device capable of receiving TV signals (e.g. DVI monitor). Surely this is pretty much the same as buying an iTunes TV show?
The BBC will be releasing it’s shows next year on the net (under DRM
) I’m happy with this move, some shows are already available. It would be interesting to see the BBC trying to sue a Brit now for downloading a show ![]()

I’m really psyched about what the BBC is doing, and I hope that other networks follow suit!
They can’t stop anybody. the illegal market is huge.
